There’s no doubt about it, we all love jeans. And why not? There’s probably no clothing out there that could match a pair of denim pants when it comes to comfort and versatility—not to mention their toughness and of course, their rugged appeal. That’s why I believe that a wardrobe will never be complete without owning at least three pairs of jeans.

But I think the best part about denim pants is they are like wine—they get better with age. Most of us probably owns a worn off  pair of jeans, which have been with us for more than ten years! I know I do. The more they age, the better they look and feel on our skin, am I right? From the hip-hugging skinnies that make us feel sexy to the most comfortable boyfriend jeans we love to wear, I definitely can’t live without them.

However, even with the multifaceted jeans, there will always come a time when we just can’t seem to make our outfits right. If you are in a denim rut, here are some ideas you might want to try out for yourself:

Boyfriend Jeans

Whether you own a pair or you’re just borrowing from your significant other, boyfriend jeans are definitely a must-have. Try rolling up the bottom and pair it with a girly blouse or a sporty tank top and a pair of slip-ons for that laid back look. You can also wear it with a plain white button down shirt, stilettos, and topping your outfit off with some sparklies to make it more “dressy.”

Skinny Jeans

Have you ever tried wearing denim on denim? Yup, that’s right. Just top off your skinny jeans with a lighter colored denim shirt and you’ll definitely look amazing. You can also add some more flare into this denim-on-denim ensemble by wearing a brown leather jacket over your denim shirt and rockin’ some red stilettos.

Do you have an event coming up that requires an outfit that is not too dressy but still call for a little bit of elegance? Black jeans are your nest bet. Pair them with pumps and button down shirt and you’re definitely stylish without looking too made up.

Paint Spattered and/or Distressed Jeans

Don’t be afraid to wear those worn out jeans of yours—even if they’re spattered with paint, faded out, or ripped. You can actually pair them with a more polished basics like rich leather accessories such as elegant belts and bags. Wear a chic pair of pumps and some clean stylish blouse and you’ll definitely be a head turner.

As I’ve said, you can pretty much wear anything you like with your jeans, in almost all occasions, and in all seasons— that’s how versatile denim pants are. Just play around with them by trying out different combinations and you will surely hit a denim jackpot.
