So we’re dead set in the middle of the summer, and the question is: have you been to the beach yet? If you haven’t been able to breakaway from the hustle and the bustle of the city yet, I suggest you start planning a trip now. However, if you’re still tied up in your work, you can still enjoy dressing up for the warmest season of the year by sporting these summer (non-beach) fashion essentials:
One of my most favorite things in this world are summer dresses. In fact, I’ve actually dedicated a whole post here in my blog just for these cuties. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: summer dresses are the ultimate wardrobe essential. Why? Firstly, they’re oh so comfortable because they are usually made from soft and comfy fabric such as cotton and linen. And because summer dresses are made to be sheer and breezy, they allow a good amount of air to pass through the fabric, helping you stay cool and chic even on the hottest summer days.
Aside from the comfort they offer, I love summer dresses simply because they look good. In fact, they’re really easy to work on as you just have to wear it on its own and you’ll know that you’ll look good. You can also pair them with sneakers, flats, sandals, and other footwear and you’ll still be confident you will still look chic. Summer dresses will also look good when paired with different types of outer garments such as cardigans and leather biker jackets—yes, it’s that versatile! What’s not to like about them, right?
Tank and Tube Tops
With the sweltering heat of the summer, of course the best way to keep yourself cool, especially when you’re stuck in the city, is to wear as little clothing as you can. That’s why tank tops and tube tops are probably one of the most popular pieces among girls during summers. Aside from the comfort, tanks and tubes are of course very sexy and chic, what more can you ask for?
The sun is scorching hot and you’re hurrying along the sidewalk to the nearest convenience store to buy some drinks—in that moment, you really don’t want to be lugging a large tote or a backpack, right? However, it’s against the law for women to be seen without their bags—well, not really but you know what I mean, right? Thank god for clutches—they’re small and easy to carry yet still snazzy.
In a hot and humid season like summer, you’d really want your feet to be as cool and comfortable as can be. With sandals, you can certainly do so. And not only that, they’re also versatile as you can pair them with pretty much anything in your wardrobe.
Sunglasses—It’s not just stylish, it’s sunny and bright and your eyes would surely need protection from the harsh UV rays—need I say more?
Of course, there are a lot more you need and want to add into your summer wardrobe, but if you miss at least one of the items I’ve mentioned above, then your summer wardrobe is surely incomplete. Get it now before the world ends!
